Mars exploration rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, have been on Mars since 2004, and have been sending back data to Earth with the help of an international network of antennas that provide the communication links between the scientists and engineers on Earth to the Mars exploration rovers.

On September 10, 2018 researchers from a Switzerland university and research center, laid out a step-by-step guide to creating a sustainable research facility on Mars.

Now Eatmore Sprouts, a company co-owned by ISGA President Carmen Wakeling, will be part of an International Space Station experiment, “Investigating the Growth Patterns of Alfalfa (Medicago sativa) Sprouts in Microgravity:  A Potential Nourishment for Future Manned Spaceflight”.  The experiment will take place on the International Space Station.
